The Willem R. van Zwet Award for the best PhD thesis in Statistics and Operations Research (OR) has two winners this year: Lasse Vuursteen received the prize for his dissertation “Distributed Hypothesis Testing under Privacy and Bandwidth Constraints” and Jens Klooster for his dissertation “Robust Inference in Instrumental Variable Models.”

In addition, Max Welz received an honorable mention.
