The Department of Mathematics of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam welcomes applications for a fully-funded, 4-year PhD position in Mathematical Statistics.

In this project you will work on the development of semiparametric theory for Bayesian inverse problems under the supervision of Harry van Zanten.

The project takes place in the Statistics group of the VU Math Department, which houses researchers working on a variety of topics in Mathematical and Applied Statistics.

The preferred starting date is between 1 September and 1 November 2021.
