PhD Position Causal Inference & Machine Learning

Are you interested in causality, statistics and machine learning and want to contribute to making causal inference more trustworthy? We have an exciting PhD opportunity at the intersection of causal inference and ML. The position is at TU Delft with Jesse Krijthe, in collaboration with Nan van Geloven (LUMC). Applications are considered on a rolling basis, with a deadline on 20 May.

▶️ The Challenge: Causal inference methods rely on strong assumptions, which can lead to flawed, untrustworthy claims.
▶️ Our Goal: Develop novel methods to detect, model, and mitigate these assumption violations, with a focus on positivity
▶️ The Impact: Pave the way for safer, more reliable, and trustworthy causal answers in science and society.

As part of the multi-disciplinary “Safe Causal Inference” consortium, you will collaborate with leading experts in computer science, biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology and more to make causal inference and machine learning more trustworthy.
