TU Delft has an exciting PhD opportunity at the intersection of causal inference, statistics and machine learning, developing methods to make causal inference more trustworthy:

▶️ The Challenge: Causal inference methods rely on strong assumptions, which can lead to flawed, untrustworthy claims.

▶️ Our Goal: Develop novel methods to detect, model, and mitigate these assumption violations.

▶️ The Impact: Pave the way for safer, more reliable, and trustworthy causal answers in science and society.

As part of the multi-disciplinary “Safe Causal Inference” consortium, you will collaborate with leading experts in computer science, mathematics, biostatistics, epidemiology and more to make causal inference and machine learning more trustworthy. The position is at TU Delft, in collaboration with Jeremy Labrecque of Erasmus MC.
