We are seeking a new colleague who is passionate about scientific research and education. Our department is looking for mathematicians with a proven expertise in applied mathematics. This topic can be interpreted in a wide sense: we are interested in applied analysis, computational mathematics, dynamical systems, mathematical biology, mathematical data science, optimization, statistics, stochastic processes, etc. Ideally, your expertise brings something new to the department while you can also connect to existing research activities.
In this position, you develop your own research line. The position of Assistant Professor is initially a tenure track position for five years. After four years, based on transparent criteria, we will take a decision on tenure. The preferred starting date is September 1, 2022, but we can be flexible.
