We have a vacancy for a scientific employee (TV-L E13, 75%, fixed term) at the Mathematics Department at the University of Munich to join our research group in Probability Theory.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Ph.D. candidate to carry out a research project on spatial random graphs. The project is at the edge between percolation theory and complex networks.
We require an excellent MSc degree in Mathematics (or similar) with profound knowledge of Probability Theory. Experience in percolation theory or random graph theory, documented through a master thesis on a relevant topic, is appreciated.

The LMU Munich is one of the largest and most renowned universities in Germany. The Mathematics Department is located in the city center of Munich.

Initial appointment is for one year, and it will be prolongated for two more years upon a positive evaluation at the end of the first year. Starting date is upon agreement.
