VVSOR Annual Meeting 2019

The VVSOR Annual Meeting will take place in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht on the 20th and 21st of March, 2019.

The VVSOR Annual Meeting will be held on 20 & 21 March 2019 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. This meeting will bring together big data and privacy specialists, statisticians, operation researchers, and practitioners to explore the current and future state of the topic: Big Data & Privacy.

  • Sanne Blauw (Numeracy correspondent for The Correspondent)
  • Ilker Birbil (Endowed professor for the Chair in Data Science and Optimization at Erasmus University Rotterdam)
  • Sophie de Broe (Scientific Director at the Centre for Big Data Statistics of Statistics Netherlands)
  • Apostolos Gkatzionis (Postdoctoral researcher at the MRC Biostatistics Unit)
  • Daniel Oberski (Associate Professor of data science methodology at Utrecht University)
  • Stephen Senn (Statistical Consultant and former Head of Competence Methodology & Statistics at Luxemborg Institute of Health)

Outside the scientific program, the annual meeting will present the winners for the best MSc (Hemelrijk prijs) and PhD thesis (van Zwet prijs) on Thursday March 21. For Wednesday afternoon March 20, we planned ‘de algemene ledenvergadering’ as the final activity of the day before the dinner.
