The goal of the workshop is to introduce a variety of mathematical problems arising in the field of Optical Networks and to provide some details on state-of-the-art research. The workshop will be a good challenge for applied mathematicians who would like to better understand the engineering domain and see how their future research problems can be shaped by the existing engineering challenges. The speakers are requested to make the talks accessible to an audience with a mathematical background, and knowledge of Optical Networks is not a pre-requisite.

It will be much appreciated if you forward this to your colleagues. There are also still slots available for short talks if participants want to speak about their own work.
