You are warmly invited to The Twelfth International Conference on Teaching Statistics (ICOTS 12), the first ICOTS to be held in Australia, from 12th to 17th July 2026. The beautiful conference venue is in the heart of Brisbane.

Theme

The theme for ICOTS 12 is What? Who? When? How? Asking questions is fundamental to good statistical practice, including good practice in statistical education, and these questions reach across all facets and contexts of the teaching of statistics and data science. Technology opens doors to tackling more and more complex problems and data, and although there is no magic solution to all the teaching challenges this poses, the statistical and data science education community needs to bring collaborative and collective wisdom, analysis and research to the what, who, when and how. Submissions
Contributions to ICOTS 12 are Main Topic oral presentation papers, with optional refereeing and written papers, poster presentations, pre-conference workshops and special interest meetings.

• Due date for Contributed and other paper proposals desiring refereeing: 31 July 2025
• Due date for Papers requesting refereeing: 31 October 2025
• Additional due date for Contributed oral presentation abstracts: 31 December, 2025.
• Due date for all final papers (refereed and non-refereed): 31 March 2026
• Due date for Poster proposals: 31 March 2026
• Due date for SIG/organisation meeting requests: 28 February 2026
• Due date for pre-conference workshop proposals: 31 October 2025
