Who we are

Young Statisticians (YS) Netherlands is an organization for students, early-career researchers and professionals who are enthusiastic about statistics. At YS, we organize a large variety of events for young statisticians, such as company visits, Statistics Cafes, statistical pub-quizzes and workshops (also see our previous events).

Good to know

• The YS board consists of 5 people. There are 3 open positions: Treasurer, Events and Communications/PR – but since most tasks are divided amongst all board members, the exact responsibilities of each position are flexible.
• Combining the board with your studies/PhD/job is not a problem: on average, it will take 2-3 hours a week, so it’s not too time consuming.
• You commit to the board for a period of 1 year (June 1st, 2021 to June 1st, 2022).
