General description:
How do we teach statistics in a world that is rarely black and white?
This interactive meeting explores how we can help students think more flexibly about uncertainty, variation, and evidence. Rather than rigid rules and binary decisions, how can we foster statistical thinking in our teaching which embraces nuance and complexity? From debates about p-values to regression models and the role of subjectivity, we’ll engage with the philosophical foundations of statistics education. Join us for an afternoon of thought-provoking talks and panel discussion with leading voices in the field.
