After our successful Data visualization workshops and webinars, we are now moving onto a more hands-on workshop: Data visualization with Adobe Illustrator. Within 3 hours you will get a crash-course by trainer Vincent van der Vliet on the basics of Adobe Illustrator, and how to use it for scientific artwork or diagrams. With this software, you can create presentations, posters, reports, theses and other publications in a professional looking way.
Note: No prior experience with Adobe Illustrator is required, we will start at the basics.
Vincent van der Vliet from Bakabaka Design is a graphic designer, digital artist and teacher of design and illustration. With a background in both chemistry and design, Vincent has a knack for making complex information visually clear without losing character or humour. His workshops are hands-on, insightful, and rooted in a deep love for typography, colour, and storytelling.
Adobe Illustrator is a powerful tool with many applications, but it is unfortunately not freely available. If you do not have a licence and you cannot get a license via your institution, you could use the free trial version for the workshop. Note that this free trial only lasts for 7 days, so don’t intsall it too early before the workshop. After the workshop you can decide whether you like the software enough to keep the licence, or to cancel your free trial on time.
